As a number of people who use smartphones and tablet devices to browse the Web and access multimedia, content quickly growing, the need for seamless and reliable connectivity with wide coverage is becoming imminent. Physical factors such as the distance between the building and operator’s base station, or the structure of the building, affect the strength and quality of the wireless signal.
To address these issues, homeowners can personally install residential small cells – small wireless base stations – that can improve the speed and quality of mobile broadband.
By signing up for Alcatel-Lucent’s Software Licensing Program, ZyXEL will be able to use Alcatel-Lucent’s residential small cell software with its broadband and wireless products. This will allow customers to enjoy a high-speed, high-performance mobile broadband network in their homes.
