The Telguard TG-7FS cellular communicator for 3G/4G networks, produced by Telguard Corporation, is compliant with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 2013 edition for sole path communications. The company is a specialist in alarm and event monitoring solutions and services.
Telguard combines devices, communications and alarm processing for enabling intrusion monitoring and fire systems without using a traditional landline. The system offers 24 hour wireless protection by transmitting data from security and fire systems to central stations leveraging cellular networks.
The company has reduced the price for sole-path supervision by nearly 30 percent, making the solution more attractive for both dealers and users driving adoption of sole-path cellular systems.
According to officials, the NFPA 2013 Edition enables the supervision of sole path cellular communications for commercial fire systems once every 60 minutes. The TG-7FS will serve as the primary communications path for commercial fire alarm systems along the NFPA 2013, section 26.6.3.1.5 Single Communications Path.
It will replace the landlines that customers use and is capable of signaling the central station within 60 minutes of a failure of the communication path. This makes the TG-7FS suitable for installation as the sole path for commercial fire installations.
Also, the TG-7FS universal communicator can be installed as part of commercial fire systems to enable primary or backup communications.
Cellular monitoring is more economical to use when compared to a dedicated landline. In case of existing installations, all landlines can easily be changed to a single TG-7FS owing to the new 60-minute supervision mode.
The installation of the TG-7FS provides security dealers with a new source of RMR, which will serve as a communications pathway for business owners who will benefit from lower charges for cellular monitoring.
