VSGi and PanTerra Networks Team Up to Expand Their On-Demand Unified Communications Services Offerings

Visual Systems Group Inc. (VSGi), a premier integrator of video, voice, web, data collaboration and communications solutions, and PanTerra Networks, a leading provider of on-demand unified communications services for small and mid-sized businesses, have teamed up to expand their on-demand unified communications services to their SMB customers.

By combining VSGi’s know-how in the area of video communications with PanTerra’s Worksmart unified communications platform, organizations can implement a full featured unified communications network with embedded video communications capabilities. PanTerra’s Worksmart is a hosted solution which integrates VoIP calling, PBX and call-distribution services, secure instant messaging, multimedia conferencing, web collaboration, remote desktop sharing and ACD/call center services onto a single platform, with apps accessed via an easy-to-use GUI. In addition, Worksmart can be readily integrated with other business applications including CRM apps such as Salesforce.

Meanwhile, VSGi has established itself as a leader in visual communications and network solutions. The company -- which seems to be primarily focused on integrations involving video communications -- now has over 3,000 business customers, plus it is a leading Polycom Certified Service Partner (CSP (News - Alert)). This is a key deal for PanTerra because it adds significantly to its reseller network, and for VSGi, which can now resell PanTerra’s Worksmart on a SaaS (News - Alert) basis and thus better serve its business customers.

Donald K. Jones, CEO of VSGi, said in a press release that his company was impressed with PanTerra and its Worksmart solution.

"We looked at several hosted solutions, no one has been able to provide a robust platform with the compelling business model that PanTerra offers,” he said. “We look forward to benefiting from PanTerra's unique industry leading SaaS technology to serve our SMB customers.”

Arthur G. Chang, CEO of PanTerra Networks, said the new partnership "enables us to expand our indirect channel model with one of the industry's clear leaders.”

“Our unique technology and reliable carrier grade SaaS unified communications network provides both VSGi and PanTerra a new avenue for business growth," he said. "This is another example of following through on our goal to empower our business partners with the world's leading SaaS unified communications platform.”
