EXFO's Service Assurance Brix System Now for Active and Passive Monitoring of LTE Networks
By Hans Lewis, TMCnet Contributor
Award-winning Brix System for network service assurance from EXFO (News - Alert) Electro-Optical Engineering announced today that Brix System will now support active and passive monitoring for wireless networks utilizing long-term evolution (LTE (News - Alert)) standards.
Vivian Hudson, VP and General Manager of EXFO Service Assurance said, 'EXFO is in a unique position to provide a fully integrated, end-to-end LTE service assurance solution that other vendors simply can't match. With this combination of extended LTE capabilities and proven service assurance platform, operators are now able to reduce their capital expenses and streamline their network operations to lower their operating costs.'
LTE monitoring solution is built on a distributed and scalable architecture that focuses on end-to-end QoS and QoE monitoring enabling service providers to monitor their LTE network at multiple service delivery layers including control plane, data plane and service plane. By combining this proven service assurance solution with EXFO's extensive portfolio of equipment, EXFO can now offer a unique, single-source solution that can help service providers improve their quality of service while reducing their capital and operational expenses.
The emerging high-bandwidth services enabled by LTE make the testing, monitoring and troubleshooting of QoS and customer QoE more important than ever. A centralized and scalable service assurance solution is essential to allow operators to enhance and optimize the performance of LTE networks and services while minimizing human intervention and thus reducing costs. EXFO is one of the only providers that can supply a proven, end-to-end service assurance solution for the LTE networks of the future. As with VoIP, IMS and 3G technology, LTE network operators can continue to rely on EXFO's Brix System to reduce CAPEX and OPEX (News - Alert) as they extend their network infrastructure to accommodate LTE.
EXFO has been a leading supplier of test and service assurance solutions in the global telecom industry for 25 years. They provide operators with innovative solutions to enhance and optimize the performance of their network, as well as the ability to proactively recognize and address potential disruption in services that affect subscriber satisfaction. At the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) on February 15, EXFO will affirm this legacy of innovation and demonstrate its unique end-to-end assessment solution for complete mobile network testing and monitoring throughout the entire lifecycle-construction, service turn-up, service assurance and troubleshooting.
