Alcatel-Lucent and Qualitynet, its accredited business partner in Kuwait, have announced that the two companies have been selected by Tamdeen Shopping Centers Company (TSC), a subsidiary of the Tamdeen Real Estate Company, to provide full communications services for its properties, employees, customers and guests.
Under this new agreement, Qualitynet will provide complete provisioning, deployment, management and support for the Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) converged IP communication and networking solution at Al Kout Mall, Al Manshar Mall and the newly built state-of-the-art 360° MALL in Kuwait.
“We were looking for a long-term partner, not just an immediate equipment provider. We chose Alcatel-Lucent for its broad array of products and solutions and Qualitynet for its strong local presence and expertise,” said Ahmed Al-Sarawi, vice chairman and CEO of Tamdeen Shopping Centers Company, in a statement.
Provided for in a ten-year contract, Alcatel-Lucent will supply – by way of the Qualitynet managed communications solutions offer – TSC with a state-of-the-art converged communication solution that is designed to accommodate tenants’ requirements.
“We are confident that both companies understand our objectives and will support us in to meeting and exceeding the demands of Kuwaiti shopper by delivering innovative communications solutions for our shopping centers that are recognized globally,” Al-Sarawi added.
Management and tenants of the company’s malls will be able to use the new solution to communicate and collaborate with security, mobility, speed and reliability. Such benefits are expected to increase shopper satisfaction while also lowering operations costs and improving staff productivity.
“We are pleased with the confidence Tamdeen Shopping Centers Company has shown in our expertise. While they focus on their core activities they can rely on a one-stop preferred service provider to supply them with the best possible communication environment at a competitive price for all communication services,” said Rashid Abdullah, managing director of Qualitynet.
The store manager can be physically in the store, in the warehouse or on the move and still be reachable to satisfy customer needs through the integrated mobility solution. World-class integrated services include Internet, voice and data converged communications, payment gateways and security systems.
“Alcatel-Lucent’s world-class communication solutions will support Tamdeen Shopping Centers Company in meeting the increasingly high expectations of shopping centre visitors and employees, differentiating the company in a highly competitive industry and positioning its shopping centers as among the most preferred leisure destinations in the country,” said Jan Zuurbier the Vice-President for Alcatel-Lucent’s enterprise activities in emerging countries.
Alcatel-Lucent grabbed attention last week when the company announced Erwin Teufner as its new CTO. The company has also started a pilot project with KELAG Netz GmbH, an Austria-based power and gas supplier and energy network operator, for the deployment and integration of smart metering infrastructure.
