Nokia's Nuage Working with Credit Andorra Financial Group

December 14, 2017

By Mandi Nowitz - Web Editor

Nokia (News - Alert) and Credit Andorra Financial Group announced it is working with Nokia to create faster and more efficient connection from branches and remote sites to Credit Andorra’s corporate data centers and apps. Deploying SD-WAN from Nokia’s software-defined networking (SDN) solutions venture, Nuage Networks, Credit Andorra can leverage a single platform for its global banking operations.

Nuage Networks is delivering policy-based automation quality of service (QoS) and security for every app and locale when services are ordered via self-service portals. The SD-WAN solution, Virtualized Network Services (VNS), enables Credit Andorra to dynamically provision and accelerate new business sites, apps, and private and public cloud services and networks. Next-gen SD-WAN fabric also has the added benefit of lowering overall business costs.

"We are very pleased with our partnership with Nokia's Nuage Networks, as it allowed us to quickly and securely extend the reach of our financial services and key applications,” Alfred Alcon, CTO of Crèdit Andorrà, said. “Stability and security are key concerns for financial institutions when evolving an IT infrastructure. We are happy to report our Nuage Networks SD-WAN implementation is delivering on the expected operational cost reductions and accelerated service delivery across our WAN."

By Nokia and Nuage joining with Credit Andorra, it brings the company to a new and different level of communications services. Typically, Nokia works with communications service providers, governments, large enterprises and consumers. The financial services sector represents a significant opportunity to deliver more efficient network capabilities to an industry that relies on low latency.

"We are proud to be partnered with Crèdit Andorrà Financial Group, an astute banking operation that recognized the benefits to be gained from SD-WAN and is now capitalizing on the technology to quickly capture more opportunities in the global market,” Manolo Ortiz, managing director of large enterprises at Nokia's Nuage Networks, said. “The agreement underlines our momentum in this business, and is further proof of the success that SD-WAN technology can bring to different market segments."
