TCL Communication, designer and manufacturer of ALCATEL ONE TOUCH-branded mobile devices, has announced a new range of vibrant, colorful and customizable entry-level smartphones called “the POP series.”
The company showcased these devices at the Consumer Electronics Show, which concludes today in Las Vegas.
Available in four different size variations, The Pop series is simple to use, and allows customers to choose the exact color, shape, size and customization that suits them. The smartphone product line leverages expertise from around the world, bringing unique products at prices to be accessible by all.
“We brought color to this dark entry segment of the smartphone market, which has long been focused on blacks and grays and simple nondescript phones,” said Dan Dery, CMO at TCL Communication, in a statement. “That not only means color in the real sense, but also color in the sense of variety and customization. Our motto when creating the Pop series was ‘easy to use, easy to choose.’”
Among the different models of the POP Series, X'POP is the X-tra large member of the POP family with a 4.5-inch qHD display for a rich viewing experience. Other key features include a dual core 1 GHz CPU, a 5MP camera with autofocus and smile detection and an additional front facing camera for video chats. The phone comes with Android (News - Alert) Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 with the option to upgrade to Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
A medium-sized device, the M'POP smartphone offers a four-inch WVGA screen, a 5MP camera and an additional front facing camera for video chats, and runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 with a 1GHz CPU.
One Touch S’POP and One Touch T’POP are small phones of the POP family. One Touch S’POP has a 1GHz CPU running on Android Jelly Bean 4.1, a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, 3.2MP camera and an additional front facing camera.
T’POP, with its simple user interface, 1GHz CPU and 3.2MP camera, is a competitive smartphone in the ULC Android segment, and comes in a variety of colors to choose from.
