In addition, CES will be the site for displaying residential energy management applications. Vehicle tracking and surveillance is another one of the exhibits. So too will be shown a Ford Transit with broadband technologies and cloud-based applications. In the health sector, there will be connected health and wellness cloud-based services. And in education, there will be cloud- based learning platforms for classrooms or business uses. A final example relates to Communications Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Some of the Alcatel-Lucent products to be featured at the show are: CloudBand, Digital Media Store, Ggigabit Passive Optical Network, IMS, 4G LTE (News - Alert), New Conversation APIs, self-healing networks, Velocix, and Wi-Fi offload.
"The next generation ecosystem goes beyond traditional players – it also includes innovators in media, entertainment, consumer electronics and other sectors,” Jason Collins, vice president, Emerging Technology & Innovation for Alcatel-Lucent, explained in a company statement. “The ng Connect Program brings together all these kinds of companies to overcome the technical and business barriers preventing service providers from mass deployment of the services their customers want."
Currently, the program has over 190 contributing and associate member companies. They are from the network, consumer electronics, application and content provider sectors. For instance, Sprint (News

Alcatel-Lucent will be located at CES 2013 in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall 3 – 31412.
