The ZUC encryption algorithm is now supported by the Aeroflex TM500 LTE (News - Alert) Test Mobile, guaranteeing the safety of user data. eNodeB vendors can now easily implement and validate the ZUC encryption algorithm using TM500 LTE Test Mobile.
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology had undertaken an assessment of TDD-LTE on a large scale. During the second stage of this evaluation, the eNodeB was tested and validated by the Aeroflex (News - Alert) TM500 LTE Test Mobile as part of the ZUC encryption algorithm test.
In September 2011, the 3GPP plenary meeting was cleared by ZUC, an encryption algorithm written in Chinese. ZUC has been formally declared the third encryption algorithm of LTE.
