Anite, specializing in wireless device testing solutions and network testing technology, has achieved 80 percent validation for Priority-1 TD-LTE (News - Alert) interoperability test cases, for device functionality and performance in LTE Bands 38 and 40.
This achievement emphasizes Anite’s ability to develop mobile operator device acceptance test cases. This TD-LTE device testing capability will help in accelerating the commercial rollout of this technology and services.
Anite (News - Alert) delivers several critical IT solutions to the wireless and travel sectors. The company also develops and implements numerous sets of software, while providing consultancy, systems integration and managed services to aid customers in operating effectively and securely.
The Priority-1 TD-LTE interoperability test requirements for acceptance include signaling and performance tests, such as global roaming, mobility, data throughput and power consumption.
“Anite has worked in close collaboration with China Mobile (News
- Alert) for a number of years now, and has very strong links with the TD-LTE market,” said Paul Beaver, director of Products at Anite’s Handset Testing business.
“Anite’s achievement of validating 80 percent of highest-priority TD-LTE interoperability tests was published by the taskforce led by China Mobile at the Global TD-LTE Initiative Workshop held in Hangzhou, China,” Beaver added.
According to officials, Anite verified the first TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA Inter-Radio Access Technology (RAT) conformance test case successfully. This capability also assures that Anite is well equipped and experienced for TD-LTE conformance testing.
The announcement regarding Anite’s achievement was made public by the Global TD-LTE Initiative (GTI) at its 4th Workshop.
The Global TD-LTE Initiative is a virtual open platform striving to ensure cooperation to promote TD-LTE among operators.
GTI was initiated to ensure acceptance of the TD-LTE technology and convergence of TD-LTE and LTE FDD. GTI formed by global mobile network operators will solve the demands for growing mobile broadband as well, officials said.
Anite announced recently that its test solutions are used to assess the U.S. LTE public safety network and associated devices.
