Telecom equipment provider, Alcatel-Lucent, and Ixia (News - Alert), a global provider of converged IP network test solutions, announced partnership for live demonstration of Alcatel-Lucent’s new line of high-density, low latency switches for data centers.

The solution, demonstrated at Interop, featured a live test of Alcatel-Lucent’s (News - Alert) new Application Fluent approach for data center switching with the OmniSwitch 10K and OmniSwitch 6900.

Each XcellonFlex module leverages multi-core CPUs and flexible processing power combined with the most precise hardware based latency and jitter measurements, according to company officials. Ixia’s tests validate Alcatel-Lucent’s ability to optimize application delivery.
