NEXCOM unveils new network security platform NSA 7120A

Solutions provider NEXCOM announced on Wednesday that it will demonstrate its latest network security platform, NSA 7120A based on the next-generation communications platform from Intel (Nasdaq:INTC), codename "Crystal Forest", at RSA Conference in San Francisco from 28 February to 1 March 2012.
According to the company, NSA 7120A accelerates the performance of network communication by accelerating specialised packet processing. Value-added communication features and network security measures including packet processing, cryptography, data compression and decompression are carried out by the Intel QuickAssist Technology.
Combined with the Intel Data Plane Development Kit (Intel DPDK), the platform can improve overall system performance with a more efficient allocation of processor resources.
No pricing details were disclosed.
